ORIGIN

Years ago, good winds carried us from Epulafquen to Llifén. In this land of radiant dawns, pellín-oak forests, sprouting springs and slopes blanketed with coigües, we put down roots one day.

Here, we created Goodwinds in homage to my father, Rei. When the fishing season demanded braving the cold on some pristine river or southern lake, we enjoyed a sip of gin together after each catch. Goodwinds is dedicated to those who learned that being brave doesn't mean not being afraid, but rather experiencing fear and facing it. To those who, like Rei, and driven by the deepest and most intimate convictions, are willing to be judged so they won't have to wonder, "what might have happened if…"

To those unconventional spirits we dedicate our sincere tribute at Goodwinds. The good winds blow in favor of those who dare.

Did you know that our emblem is a masterpiece by the prestigious artist Carmen Nass, a true-blooded “Llifenina”?

We are incredibly proud of Carmen and grateful to her for interpreting our iconic southern tree so poetically and authentically. It's the little tree that "stands its ground" against the winds, symbolizing the courage of the unconventional spirits we honor at Goodwinds.

BOTANICALS

Spearmint, Merkén, and the exquisite complexity of our wild Red Myrtle, carefully blended with seven other botanicals, extend you a warm welcome to the southern winds.

A classic foundation of juniper from Albania and Macedonia, angelica root, and coriander seeds endow it with the authentic character of a London Dry. Through 6 iterations of our original recipe, we passionately pursued the sensory profile we envisioned, unveiling itself in three distinct stages.

The incredible mouthfeel is crafted by the botanical blend, the speed of distillation, and the intricately precise definition of its cuts. Every sip is a journey through the carefully calibrated interplay of flavors, a testament to our dedication and the essence of Goodwinds' distinct character.

Goodwinds was founded by very different individuals but with a shared obsession: to bring the best of Llifén to the world through an excellent gin that celebrates brave and unconventional spirits.

Juan Francisco Ordóñez

Founder, Partner, and man of both action and ideas, with 9 years of experience in consulting and 16 years in the aerospace industry, he believes he has discovered the reason why airplanes take off better into the wind... guide, strategist, administrator, and fly-fisherman.

Diego Surazsky

Founder, Partner, with 8 years of experience at Diageo and 12 years in vineyards, he is a powerhouse of passion and optimism... noble heart and commercial genius that rarely come together so seamlessly in one person.

Juan Ariel Dos Santos

Founder, Partner, with 23 years of experience in technology companies and a serial entrepreneur. A true “rainmaker", because technology is needed to achieve the consistency standards demanded from a gin like ours.
